Oh, you’ve got bills and child support?
So do a whole lot of other people… including your server.
That’s what makes this kind of note so wild to me. You walked into someone else’s workplace, sat down, got the service you wanted, took up a table, took up time, took up labor… and then decided your personal bills were somehow a reason not to compensate the person serving you.
Like servers don’t have rent.
Like servers don’t have kids.
Like servers don’t have bills stacking up too.
That logic makes no sense.
You still chose to go out. You still chose to be served. And while you were sitting there, that table could’ve been used by somebody who actually respected the work being done and tipped accordingly.
Nobody is asking for your life story on the receipt. Just basic respect.
Would y’all be irritated by this too, or am I tripping?
