I just spent over an hour picking up a $200+ order, waiting in line, sitting in traffic, burning gas, all that just to get it to someone’s door. By the time I got there I was already drained, just hoping at least it’d feel worth it at the end.
Then I open the envelope and it’s like… $11. That’s it. $11 for all that time, gas, effort?? You’re telling me that’s what all of that is worth? Be serious. That’s not even covering what I put into this, let alone the time I wasted doing it.
At that point it just felt straight up disrespectful. Like why even order that much food if you’re gonna tip like that? If you can’t tip properly, don’t order delivery. I’m not out here doing all this for scraps.
I really don’t get how some people can spend hundreds on food and then suddenly act broke when it comes to tipping. That kind of mindset is exactly why drivers stop caring.
