DoorDash drivers can be pretty dramatic sometimes. Yes, I missed the calls. Yes, I didn’t hear the doorbell. But that doesn’t mean my food should just be left sitting on the ground outside my house.
That feels lazy and a bit disrespectful to the order. I don’t care if the app says “contactless delivery,” common sense should kick in. Leaving warm food on cold concrete with bags tipped over and drinks sweating just sitting there isn’t great.
If you see that I’m not responding, it feels like there should be more effort instead of giving up right away.
So I picked up the food, went into the app, gave a one star rating, and requested a partial refund. If an order is handled poorly, I think it’s fair to rate it that way.
