Not the Five Guys, not the Starbucks, not the Panda Express, none of it. At first I tried being a decent person and leaving the bags out hoping the driver would figure it out or the real customer would come grab it.

But tonight they dropped off half a restaurant’s worth of food again and just drove away. Bags everywhere, receipts hanging out, drinks sweating all over the concrete. At that point I decided I’m not running a lost-and-found for food deliveries. If drivers can’t read a giant sign taped to the door, that’s not really my problem anymore.

So I grabbed every single bag off the porch and carried them inside. Burgers, noodles, coffees, everything. If the driver comes back knocking asking about it, I’m just going to tell them I assumed whoever ordered it already grabbed it. I’m not standing outside babysitting takeout because someone can’t read directions.

People are probably going to say I should’ve tried harder to return it, but after the fourth wrong delivery in a week I’m done playing customer service for strangers.
